ORIENTATION
* I offer an active, insight-oriented, and compassionate approach, integrating strands of depth/Jungian, psychoanalytic, relational, existential & cognitive- behavorial perspectives. I appreciate the influences of unconscious processes on clients' lives and choices. I often work with dreams, creative writing and art, whose expressions often illuminate, provide insight and reveal meaning.

*Lasting change does not often come from advice alone -- change usually comes from within. Difficulties can arise when clients' feelings and thoughts are not fully experienced. Cultural and biological factors also contribute to problems. Enhanced self-understanding is often the main goal of therapy, whether one faces internal or external obstacles, or some combination of the two.

SERVICES
*Individual therapy is a process in which the client and the therapist meet to examine areas of emotional and social difficulties which are affecting the client. These difficulties may occur in school or work performance, in relationships, or in day to day living.

*Couples Therapy
Goals for couples include: increase respect, affection, and closeness, break through and resolve conflict when you feel stuck, generate greater understanding between you and your partner, keep conflict discussions calm, and maintain improvements in your relationship.

CLINICAL SUPERVISION
I offer clinical supervision to clinicians preparing for licensure in clinical psychology.

WORKSHOPS
I regularly present workshops on the topic of dream exploration.
